In 2020, we not only had the pandemic, but also the largest wildfire season recorded in California’s modern history. Wikipedia says “As of October 9, 2020, a total of 8,320 fires have burned 4,267,386 acres (1,726,950 hectares), more than 4% of the state's roughly 100 million acres of land.” California had about one week of orange skies. The scene just like the end of the day of world. I drew this painting for remembering this historic moment.

I remember three years ago, there is a movie “Only the Brave”. It bases on a real story of a firefighters crew of Arizona. Firefighters are heroes in my heart. They are as great as military men. The end of the movie all the crew members, only one survived in the wildfire. They used fire shelters which says a safety device used by wildland firefighters when trapped by wildfires, but after the fire sweeps over the crew. That device couldn’t protect them. I was so upset after I watched that part. We are in 21 Centuries now. We have AI Technology, we have different kinds of robots, why we can’t not use them instead of the firefighters to do those the most dangerous jobs? We don’t want more HEROES, we need them can be FINE!

Solve the wildfire problems! Solve the problems of how to protect firefighters’ life! This is more important than we can go to the Moon or Mars!
